Nicolas Schuybroek Egyptian Limestone Fruit Bowl

The limestone bowl was created out of perfect balance and proportion and is represented in two ways: a feminine and a masculine version. The masculine version explores the idea of a carved, solid and heavy everyday object that can be considered as a miniature piece of architecture. The feminine version is, weight-wise, a lighter version of the same object. Both bowls display simple, elegant shapes and an astute mix of materials: Egyptian sandstone and perforated bronze.

Nicolas Schuybroek Architects defined purpose is to create and produce architecture, interiors and objects characterized by an acute sense of detail, craftsmanship and intuition, while retaining a feeling of warmth.

Start by cleaning the limestone with a warm water and mild liquid soap, then thoroughly dry it with a soft cloth. A special sealer is recommended to protect from stains.
